Cristiano Ronaldo scores winner in record 200th game for Portugal

Cristiano Ronaldo became the first men’s football player to reach 200 international appearances when he scored the winning goal in the 89th minute of Portugal’s 1-0 win over Iceland in a European Championship qualifier.

In Tuesday’s Euro 2024 qualifier against Iceland, Ronaldo scored the only goal after Willum Willumsson was sent off with 10 minutes left.

In his recent instagram post he added

            “  200 games with the same commitment, dedication, and responsibility, just like the first time I played with this jersey. I am here, continuing to score, pursuing my dream and giving my all for the team and for our country. Por amor a Portugal”
